The Grays

It's been crazy over here so I haven't had time to blog.  I've done two dozen shoots over the last two months, and still have a dozen more to do before the end of this month.  Fall is crazy ya'll!  But I figured I should try to post at least one session just so people don't think I've disappeared completely.  LOL!  Loved this session-- the people, the outfits, the setting, the light, the colors!  All of it!  Enjoy!

Myles {BRAND NEW}

Myles was the first baby I've had to have come back another day because no matter what I did I couldn't get him comfy, happy, and asleep.  But when he came back a week later he was a perfect, happy little angel!  So glad his mommy didn't mind bringing him back, it was so worth it-- we go so many amazing photos of the handsome little guy!  Thanks again for being so patient and understanding Melissa!

Royal {BRAND NEW}

I absolutely loved my session with Royal.  Not only was he insanely gorgeous, with the perfect amount of squish and the best blonde faux-hawk I've ever seen-- but he was a perfect little sleeper too!  And his parents were equally awesome.  Such a sweet family.  The best part of my job is definitely meeting new amazing people.  :)

Evangeline {BRAND NEW}

There's been lots of babies in the studio lately (and still more to come!), this is definitely a busy time of year for newborns!  Evangeline came in for her session at 9 days new, and she did a wonderful job at modeling.  Isn't she just lovely?!

Evelyn {CAKE SMASH}

Sweet little Evelyn was the prettiest little cake smasher!  She calmly dug into that cake, ate some frosting, and then requested some milk to wash it down.  LOL!  Can't believe she's a year already, feels like yesterday I was taking her newborn photos!

The Ruggles

I've been photographing the Ruggles for a while now and this is the first time I was able to have all three boys available for the shoot-- so happy it worked out!

The Wiemers

This might just be one of my most favorite sessions ever!  Beautiful family, tons of personality, awesome location, and just a cool vibe for the shoot!  Love this family-- I've been photographing them since Hadley was a baby, and I've known Melissa for like a decade now (and she is a ton of fun to go wine tasting/antiquing with!  Speaking of which... which need to plan a date soon Melissa!

Lily {BRAND NEW}

Sweet little Lily was so excited for her first photo shoot that she couldn't even keep her eyes closed!  She kept popping them open and I was trying to snap pics when she would blink.  LOL!  Several photos I had to Photoshop her eye(s) closed because she just barely had them open.  :)

Bellina {BRAND NEW}

I got to photograph such a sweet little baby yesterday!  Isn't Bellina a beauty?!  I love how her photos turned out, some of my favorite images to date!  I am so grateful parents bring their tiny little babies to me; to let me cuddle them, and to create art with them as the centerpiece.  I seriously love my job so much!

The Durkee & Linares Families

I love getting to see families again and again and again.  It's amazing how fast babies and little kids grow and change!  I've photographed 3 of the 4 of these babes as newborns.  Thank you Chanel and Leanne for allowing me to capture your beautiful families every year!

The Claxtons {AWAITING BABY}

I had such a fun time with Baisha and Kenny for their mini maternity session!  Such sweet people and obviously super photogenic too!  I loved that Baisha was down for walking through the creek-- these are definitely some of my favorite maternity photos.  Isn't she lovely?!  Can't wait to meet baby girl in a few weeks!

Charlie {BRAND NEW}

Charlie here was definitely the most awake baby I've had in a loooong time!  LOL!  He just didn't think sleeping sounded like a good idea-- so I snapped pics in the few minutes I was able to get him to shut his eyes, and also snapped pics of him with his eyes open (which I don't usually do-- but he managed some great eye contact!).  I was so happy we were able to get him to sleep for some parent shots though, since those always seem to be my favorite!

The Jaegers {AWAITING BABY}

This sweet family of three is about to be a family of four!  We headed out to the lake for our session and it's depressing how quickly the water is vanishing!  But we were able to find some greenery (hard to do in Sac right now) and a bit of shoreline (even if it was super muddy-- I actually like how it photographed, especially in black and white).  Can't wait to meet this little one soon!

The Tozis {AWAITING BABY}

Meredith and Matt were the sweetest, most patient couple.  It was like 100 degrees the day of our shoot, and I made them walk all over the place.  LOL!  And to really throw me off... the area of the lake we were shooting at looked completely different from when I was there not even a week earlier... I'm talking there was all of a sudden no water anymore!  Crazy.  But we obviously made it work!  Can't wait to meet their little one!  Not too much longer!

The Tuckers

I love when I get asked to photograph several generations for a big family shoot.  I love having these photos of my own big family and I think it's so important!  This family was just the sweetest and so much fun to photograph!

The Beards {AWAITING BABY}

I asked my friend Melissa to let me photograph her in the water and luckily she said yes!  And even more lucky was that we photographed in this little corner of the lake that was absolutely beautiful-- because when I went back to the same location 6 days later it was totally gone!  The water had receded so far that this whole area was gone!  Like twilight zone or something.  So sad.  But super happy we were there when we were because these are some of my all time favorite maternity photos!  Thank you Melissa and Tim for being good sports and hanging out in the water with me!
